I’m Coming Back
“I’m so disappointed,” Emily said with tears in her eyes. “We’re moving out of the area, and it’ll be too expensive to drive here each week.”
Emily had been taking our parenting classes for several months. When she first came to us, she was completely overwhelmed. But through our teaching, encouragement, and prayer support, she gained confidence and grew in her parenting skills.
We checked in on Emily shortly after she moved. She said, “You’ll never believe what happened! When I got a card from you in the mail, my mom said, ‘You know they helped you at your lowest point.’ And I said, ‘I know! I miss going there so much!’ My husband overheard our conversation and said to me, ‘We have enough money for gas. You should keep going. They’ve really helped all of us.’
“So, I’m coming back!” Emily announced.
Each week since then, Emily practically bounces through the front door—eager to be with us and continue growing as a mom. She reminds me of Psalm 16:11 which says, “You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy…”
God sees young families and He works through the body of Christ to give young moms like Emily the opportunity to soak in Christian fellowship, prayer, and biblical parenting principles so their families can thrive.
