The Client and The Aunt

The Client and The Aunt

Tabitha was vulnerable to abortion because of financial difficulties. But seeing her baby through ultrasound and hearing about our services confirmed her decision to carry to term.

After the director helped Tabitha sign up for prenatal classes, she was drawn to Tabitha’s Aunt Susan. Susan had come along with Tabitha for her ultrasound, and although there was joy in the room over all that was being revealed about the baby through the sonogram, Aunt Susan seemed distant and sad.

The director asked Susan gently, “Is there anything I could pray for you about?”

Susan hesitated at first but then opened up about her journey. She was in a long, dark season of depression following several miscarriages. She had a relationship in the past with Jesus but hadn’t been able to connect with Him for years. Our director shared specific ways Jesus helped her through her own pregnancy loss, and she prayed at length for Susan.

Afterwards Susan breathed a long sigh of relief and said, “I’m so glad I came here today. I wasn’t going to, but now I know God brought me here!” She turned to Tabitha and said, “You’re in good hands in this place.”

Everyone who comes through our doors has the opportunity to experience the Father’s embrace. You do, too, friends. God tells us through Jeremiah 31:3, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” We have all been created for Him.
