Transformed Through Truth
When Jack and Maria first started coming to Align for our free parenting education classes, their marriage was in shambles. They wanted a divorce, they were living apart, and Maria had started dating someone else. They even took their parenting classes at different times because they couldn’t stand seeing each other.
Things seemed pretty hopeless.
BUT…Our client advocates began to pray consistently for them. We gave them each a Bible and encouraged them to read about God’s love for them, starting with the book of John. And they were willing to review the spiritual application section of each lesson.
Class after class, Jack and Maria heard about the value of healthy relationships and learned truth about children and parents. Their perspectives started to shift. They began seeing each other in a new light. They started to hold their marriage in higher regard. Jack and Maria eventually reconciled and began going to marriage counseling. They finished their individual parenting courses and are now taking our Life Skills unit—TOGETHER.
Romans 12:2 says, “…be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
We had front row seats to watch this happen in Jack and Maria’s lives! God worked through our parenting classes and our prayers to give this young couple truth which renewed their minds about marriage, family, and Him! They have discovered fresh purpose for their lives. Their home is more peaceful. They are caring well for their children. Only Jesus can do this! Friends, what He’s done for them, He can do for anyone.
