Weapons with Divine Power
Aubrey was pregnant.
Her boyfriend kept telling her, “You need to take care of this now before it gets any bigger.”
She was also afraid of what her family would think. She came to us abortion-minded, needing someone to talk to.
We listened, talked with her about each of her options, and told her about the services we have available for her, including ultrasound. We also encouraged Aubrey to tell her family the truth. We prayed for her and her baby.
A few weeks later, Aubrey came back for her ultrasound—bringing her mom and her sister with her! Instead of condemning her, her mom and sister had declared that her baby is a blessing and assured Aubrey they’d be her support system each step of the way! It was a privilege to show them Aubrey’s active 7-week-old baby on the screen. We reminded Aubrey from scripture—standing in faith—that she and her baby are made by God for a purpose and that He loves them dearly. Aubrey signed up for our prenatal classes with a brand-new outlook on the rest of her pregnancy journey.
Friends, abortion is a devastating evil. We wage a huge and holy war against it. Yet as it says in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4, “…we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world.” On the contrary, weapons we use moment by moment in this war are the Word of God, prayer, and faith. These weapons have divine power that dwarfs any power we human beings can muster on our own. They are free and available to you and me all the time. Praise God for His incredible weapons in the war for life!
