God Does Not Overlook Our Volunteers
We recently started our spring training session for new client advocate volunteers. These are people who share the truth and hope of Jesus with moms and dads who are either experiencing unintended pregnancies or learning how to be better parents. Advocates meet with clients weekly for parenting classes as well as for encouragement, prayer, and spiritual support. God works powerfully through their faithfulness.
One of our client advocates recently took some time to connect with clients we hadn’t heard from in a while. She left voice messages for some and sent notecards to others. She wasn’t sure if she’d hear back from any, but two of the young moms responded.
The first mom stopped in to visit. We hadn’t seen her since her baby was born, so we gave her our new baby “layette” gift bag. She had some CARE Cash left over, too, so she shopped in our baby boutique. She made sure to tell her advocate how bold she’s been at sharing the gospel with her customers where she works.
The second young mom also stopped in. She had recently hit some financial struggles, and we were able to bless her with a grocery gift card and some baby essentials. She made sure to tell her advocate how God has been drawing her back to Him through her new baby girl. “My daughter and I are going to church, now, too,” she shared
We love how God encouraged our volunteer advocate through these specific experiences! Hebrews 6:10 says, “For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.” We are so thankful for our volunteers and glad for every blessing He showers on them!
