Parenting Goals Powered by Prayer
Miranda is a young mom who recently spent time in prison and is trying to get her life back on track. She wants to learn how to be a better mom to her young children and so she’s been taking parenting classes with us for several months.
She’s also been learning to set goals for herself.
Miranda’s first goal that she and her advocate have been praying for was to find a job. God answered that prayer, and Miranda now has a job she can walk to from her apartment. Her second goal was to get her cell phone fixed. God answered that prayer as well. Next on her list is to pray that she’s able to save money for a reliable vehicle. After that, she wants to pray for the courage and strength to restore her relationship with her parents.
With each parenting lesson and every prayer, we see God moving Miranda toward a closer walk with Him and a better life for her and her children. Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you…”
