God is Expanding Align Life Ministries in Fresh Ways
Dear friends of Align,
God is expanding the reach of Align, and we are grateful to see more lives being saved and transformed through this ministry.
Over the past five years, Align has experienced significant growth in all three areas of our mission: pregnancy services, strategic partnerships, and equipping resources. As each of these continues to grow, we are also strengthening our leadership so that Align is prepared to steward both today’s opportunities and those God may bring in the future.
A Growing Ministry
Since 2021, our pregnancy services have grown significantly:
- 63% increase in clients served
- 166% increase in ultrasound appointments
- 46% increase in young parents receiving prenatal and parenting education
To make room for this growth, Align has also expanded its facilities. We acquired a larger building for our Lancaster location in 2022, moved into a centrally located facility in Ephrata earlier this year, and are now renovating a larger building in Columbia that we plan to open next spring. Perhaps you have heard the remarkable story of how God is redeeming a former strip club to become our new pregnancy center in Columbia.
Our reach is growing beyond our pregnancy centers as well.
Through Align’s leadership of the Pennsylvania Life Exchange, our relationships with pregnancy centers across the state continue to deepen as more directors participate in events, webinars, and shared learning opportunities.
Our partnership with LIFE International is also flourishing, opening additional opportunities to share the Father’s heart for life with pastors and leaders throughout the United States and around the world.
At the same time, our equipping resources are reaching a wider audience. From organizational leaders seeking to build God-centered cultures to parents wanting their children to understand God’s loving design for their lives, we continue to develop new ways to share life-affirming truth through books, speaking engagements, onsite training, webinars, podcasts, blogs, and other resources.
Strengthening Leadership for the Next Season
As the ministry has grown, we have intentionally strengthened Align’s leadership capacity. This year, our Board of Directors has expanded from five directors to seven, our Leadership Team has grown from four members to six, and we are continuing to expand our medical and ultrasound oversight team.
We are also making an important transition in our executive leadership structure.
I will continue to provide leadership for Align’s vision, mission, and strategic direction, while devoting more of my time to ministry outreach and opportunities nationally and internationally. My title will become Chief Executive Officer.
Matt Kocher, who has served Align faithfully for six years and currently serves as Executive Vice President, will assume greater responsibility for Align’s day-to-day organizational and operational leadership. His new title will be President and Chief Operating Officer.
This structure allows each of us to focus more intentionally on the areas where Align most needs leadership for ongoing ministry expansion.
Isaiah 54:2 comes to mind: “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes.”
We believe this is a season of both enlarging the tent and strengthening the stakes.
The same God who has opened these doors of ministry is able to provide the wisdom, people, resources, and leadership needed for what lies ahead. By His grace, we are committed to following His direction and faithfully stewarding every opportunity He provides.
