Fellowship with One Another

Fellowship with One Another

Hi, friends! It’s such a joy to tell you about the things we get to see God doing in our clients’ lives! Sometimes He transforms their lives directly through us and the services we provide. Other times, His transformation in their lives is well underway by the time He connects them with us, and we get to support the clients with loving community cheering them on in their good decisions.

Such was the case with our client Isabella. Isabella was a brandnew Christian when she came to see us for pregnancy support. Her boyfriend was not a believer, and Isabella kept talking with him about her newfound faith in Jesus. We prayed with Isabella for him, and a few months later, her boyfriend trusted Jesus as his Savior!

Isabella then began feeling convicted that they were living together but were not married. She found a separate place to stay temporarily, wanting to do the right thing in the eyes of the Lord. Then one Sunday, her boyfriend made a declaration of his faith in Jesus at a family gathering and then immediately dropped down on one knee and proposed to her!  They are getting married in a few weeks. We are so happy for them and their preborn baby!!

Their story reminds me of 1 John 1:7, which says, “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another…” God poured out the gift of healthy, close, sincere fellowship on Isabella, her boyfriend, and us as they walked in the good ways of Jesus. Friends, those are some of the best kinds of moments in life and, in part, what we are all created to enjoy.
