Warm Sunshine for Her Wings
I saw something unusual as I drove on 222 a few weeks ago: Way on top of one of the huge metal utility poles was a big black vulture. With his back toward me, he had spread his shiny black wings open wide and was basking in the gentle morning sunshine. It looked as though the sun felt so good on his feathers. I only got to glimpse him for a moment as I drove by, but the sight of him spoke to my heart. I thought of an abortion recovery client.
Her loneliness is evident. She’s in a wilderness of sorts, certain she’s condemned forever and not worthy of love anymore because of the abortion.
