What Did You Learn Today?
Have you ever asked a child, “What did you learn at school today?” Well, we wish you could chat with clients enrolled in our parenting classes and ask them, “What did you learn about parenting today?”
We think you’d love their responses.
Here’s what one couple who took our prenatal and child birthing classes said, “The classes have allowed us to have confidence in delivering our first baby. It was so neat to explore our hospital’s birth app and realize that we already knew what the different terms meant because of your classes!”
And parents of a busy toddler said, “We’re implementing the strategy of giving our little boy choices before bedtime, like, ‘Do you want to brush your teeth first or put on your pajamas first?’ He’s responding so well to that, and our family nighttime routine is much better now.”
There’s lots to know about being a parent, and God gives us the Bible, fellow believers, (and parenting classes at local pregnancy resource centers like ours) to help young moms and dads improve their parenting techniques.
Excerpts from Hebrews 13:20-21 say, “Now may the God of peace…equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight….” So, friends, maybe later this evening ask yourself, “What did I learn today?” As you look back over the hours, you might become newly aware of how God is equipping you with “everything good,” working things out in your life in a way that is pleasing in His sight—just like He’s equipping our new parent clients to be wonderful moms and dads.
