A Gift to Steward
You may have heard about being a good steward of your finances. You may have read a book or some articles about how to be a better steward of your time. I think it’s fairly common for us to realize that our money and our time are precious gifts from God. The Lord entrusts us with them. Remember how Jesus started the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14? It was with the words ““For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property.” God wants us to use our time and our money wisely, and for His glory.
Now, along these same lines – have you ever thought about being a good steward of your sexuality?
At Align Life Ministries, we recognize that sexuality is a gift from God to be stewarded. It ultimately belongs to Him, and He has entrusted it to us. It’s is something to be valued and respected… something that should be governed by choices that honor God, others, and ourselves.
Fortunately, God has described His design for our sexuality in Scripture. Equally important is that He also provides believers with the help of the Holy Spirit to walk out His plan. And, God offers us restoration through Jesus if we’ve already stepped outside of His design.
It is each person’s responsibility – yours and mine – to be a good steward of God’s gift of sexuality. That involves us making choices daily that align us with His plan.
It’s also very important that as we have opportunity, we are teaching the next generation to be good stewards of their sexuality, as well.
