And on Earth, Peace
A local woman named Adrienne was in turmoil. She never expected her husband to divorce her just before she delivered their first child. She never expected to turn to another man so quickly. Now she was pregnant with her second child—to a man she didn’t really love. She was angry at God, angry at her ex-husband and her own actions, and overwhelmed by the thought of raising two young children alone.
Abortion loomed large in her mind.
She received an ultrasound from us and then she disappeared for a while. Our
follow-up attempts fell flat. But finally—weeks later—we reached Adrienne by phone and asked her how she was doing. We praise God for her response! She said, “The minute I saw my baby on the ultrasound monitor, I fell in love. I am going to have this baby, and I want to attend your prenatal classes.” We’re so glad Adrienne knows she’s not alone! She’ll continue to get support through our prenatal classes, and her baby has a chance to grow into God’s wonderful purposes.
Please pray with us that Adrienne continues to make life-giving choices… that she will align with God and discover His peace.
Remember what a multitude of the heavenly host said in Luke 2:14 after the birth of Jesus was announced? “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Jesus is the Prince of Peace for young pregnant moms like Adrienne, and for you and me.
