PA Life Exchange Spirit & Strategy Summit Event

PA Life Exchange Spirit & Strategy Summit Event

It was a beautiful morning under spacious skies in central Pennsylvania when pregnancy resource centers from across the state gathered at Calvary Harvest Fields Church near State College for the Pennsylvania Life Exchange (PLE) Spirit and Strategy Summit.

Matt Kocher of Align Life Ministries and leadership team member of the PLE, opened the Summit with prayer, followed by a time of praise and worship led by Calvary’s worship staff.

Debbie Davenport of Align Life Ministries and PLE leadership team member, offered the keynote address. She shared the story of the beautiful grace and healing she experienced from the Lord, whose powerful love set her free from the lies and pains of her difficult childhood and traumatic abortion.

Participants then had the opportunity to have time alone with God to explore a new aspect of His love for them. In the community time that followed, guests were invited to share what they discerned and experienced in their time with the Lord.

The morning concluded with Julie Baum, Align’s Director of Supporter Relations, leading a seminar on church engagement.  The group enjoyed sharing helpful ideas with one another to cultivate kingdom-advancing relationships with church partners, new and old.

After lunch together and a time of community with one another, we were blessed to have Dr. William Lile, “The ProLife Doc”, join the group by Zoom. He updated participants on the latest in life-saving preborn surgeries and answered several insightful questions from the audience about Abortion Pill Reversal.

Pennsylvania Family Institute’s Lexi Sneller reviewed Pennsylvania’s abortion legislation and provided helpful insights and hope, and Brook Nierman of AlphaCare, a pregnancy center in Philadelphia, shared practical tips and encouragement to engage with local elected officials.

The day was God-honoring and kingdom building.  Pregnancy center leaders and staff from across Pennsylvania were encouraged, refreshed, and equipped to continue speaking truth and life into communities statewide.
