Who, Lord?

Who, Lord?

“I want your clients to have these, the gentleman said, and handed our center director five sizeable amount gift cards to Walmart.

It was a few weeks before Christmas, and this particular donor felt led by the Lord to bless local women who were facing unplanned pregnancies. Our director gratefully accepted the cards. She wondered, though, which five clients to give them to.

In her office she bowed her head and asked God to somehow show her which clients He had in mind.

A few days later, a young woman came to our center for her prenatal class appointment. She was pregnant with twins and had two other children in tow. She recently learned of our services and was more than grateful for the baby supplies she was earning.

That particular day, she and her children had walked over a mile in the freezing cold to get to our center so she could complete her next class with us before the holidays.

Our director sensed the Lord saying, “This one. Give one of the cards to her.” She did, and the mother was stunned, marveling at this unexpected gift.

Through the rest of the days leading up Christmas, the Lord clearly showed our director which clients were to receive those gift cards. It was a joy for her to give the gifts on behalf of the donor, and the clients were happily surprised to receive such blessings.

Psalm 86:11 says, “Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on Your faithfulness.”

The beginning of the year is a great time to remember that no matter what struggles we face, God has been faithful in the past, and we can rely on His faithfulness in the future. He WILL provide for our needs. We have all been Created for Him.
