He Answered All My Prayers!
Nina is a young mom of a 2-year-old and is now pregnant with twins! She heard from a friend about the helpful toddler lessons we offer for free to young parents in the community – lessons like Bonding with Your Toddler and toddler safety, nutrition, and milestones. It wasn’t long before she signed up and started taking those classes herself.
Nina began to especially enjoy the spiritual application at the end of each lesson. And she loved when her client advocate prayed for her. Nina had been concerned about the health of her niece. Nina’s washing machine had broken down, and her 2-year-old was refusing to nap. Her advocate helped Nina lift each of these prayer requests to God.
One evening, Nina showed up for her appointment really excited to tell us that God had answered all her prayers! Her niece’s health had taken a turn for the better. Someone had fixed her washing machine for free, and her two-year-old had resumed napping like a champ! Nina was overjoyed! Her spiritual growth accelerated as she began to read her Bible regularly, share scripture verses with others, and spend more time in prayer on her own.
In Psalm 145:18, God promises, “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” We’re glad to meet the physical and parenting education needs of our clients. Yet our highest calling is helping and encouraging parents like Nina in their relationship with Jesus.
