Align’s Decision To Not Participate In The ExtraGive
Dear Friend of Align Life Ministries,
We’re writing to let you know that Align Life Ministries will not be participating in ExtraGive this year.
As you may know, ExtraGive is an annual, one-day giving opportunity sponsored by the Lancaster County Community Foundation each November. We’ve participated since its inception in 2012 and have been blessed to receive many financial gifts over the years from faithful supporters through ExtraGive.
While we are grateful for the opportunity to have been part of this community-wide day of generosity, we cannot align ourselves with the Lancaster County Community Foundation’s changing values—particularly in regards to family and sexuality.
As a pro-Jesus, pro-life, pro-family ministry, the Bible is the foundational truth for our beliefs about marriage, family, and sexuality and forms the values from which we serve our clients. We lovingly serve young women and men without discrimination, and we respectfully share our values —including Jesus’ desire to have a personal relationship with them. We’ve also developed a 3-Volume Sexuality By Design curricula for the Church at large to help teenagers understand their identity in Christ and God’s design for stewarding their sexuality.
Our mission is to align with God to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and champion the sacredness of human life through pregnancy services, strategic partnerships, and equipping resources.
We are committed to Jesus and the mission He’s given us, and we will hold fast to both. While culture may change, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His truth is unchanging, and it’s the greatest hope for the people we’re privileged to serve.
To that end, we are confident that He will continue to faithfully provide for our financial needs. Thank you for your part in that, and for your ongoing partnership in the gospel and life.
