All Need His Mercy and Grace
A young mom named Cindy came to see us 2 years ago. She wasn’t thrilled about being pregnant, but she seemed open to our services. She seemed glad to review the parenting and adoption options for her pregnancy. She seemed delighted to see her healthy little baby on the screen during her ultrasound. At the end of the day, we were sure she was going to choose life for her baby.
But fast forward to recently, when Cindy came to see us again. It turns out she ended that first pregnancy with an abortion. Now she’s pregnant again and her emotions are all over the place. “I’ve been struggling with the abortion since the moment I had it,” she said. “If I knew someone who was considering abortion, I would tell them DO NOT DO IT!” We immediately offered her our free post-abortion services to help her grieve the loss of her first baby as she anticipates the arrival of her second one.
Friends, all of us fall short of God’s glory. But Hebrews 4:16 reminds us that because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, we can “with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
Scared pregnant moms need God’s mercy and grace.
Moms who have chosen abortion need God’s mercy and grace.
ALL of us need God’s mercy and grace.
