Fall Banquet Recap: Aligning for Life

Fall Banquet Recap: Aligning for Life

Our 2018 Fall Fundraising Banquets have come and gone, but the blessings from them reach far beyond those spaces in time.

Our first banquet was held October 18 at Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon, and the second was October 19 at Calvary Church in Lancaster. Guests enjoyed a hot meal and time to chat with long time friends as well as new ones.

Keith Yoder, Founder of Teaching the Word Ministries and SVPS mentor, opened with remarks inspiring people to align with Christ for life.

Kati Swisher, Vice President of Stewardship and Resources for SVPS, continued by offering a ministry update which touched on our specific efforts to reach more people who need our services.

Both speeches are available as downloadable files below.

We heard from our client Dana, a former drug addict whose life was forever changed by Jesus through SVPS. She chose life for her daughter, Ember.  You can see more of her story here.

Kati shared information about our newest sexual integrity curriculum for leaders of teens, which included a 5-minute video explaining the heart behind the lessons.

She also spoke about our post-abortion services, introduced new director, Vickie Kracke, and shared Rachael’s story through video.

Through the banquets, God provided over $198,000, surpassing our $184,000 goal. These gifts will help provide 950 client appointments, 70 ultrasounds, and parenting classes for 150 moms and dads across our locations in the coming months. They will also fund projects including the completion of Volume Two of Sexuality By Design, which tackles head-on the problem of pornography use among teens.

We are grateful for the way God uses these banquets to ultimately help save and change lives.
