Freedom to Parent and to Believe

Freedom to Parent and to Believe

A young mom came in to one of our centers. She heard we offered help for struggling parents, and she was struggling, so she enrolled and began to attend classes regularly.

During the course, the client thought about how she was parented, and noticed some things she’d like to do differently. Our new “Brightcourse” parenting lessons give clients the tools they need to develop their own healthy parenting styles. Our director has been telling this client, “You CAN parent differently. You can make a change now for generations to come!”

As they talked, the conversation took a spiritual turn and our director shared the gospel with her. The young mom believed the news about Jesus and asked Him to be her Savior. Since then, she’s been excited to learn the parenting lessons AND to dig into the Word of God with us. She and her client advocate open the Bible and read scriptures together. The client came in last week and said how excited she was that she read through a few books of the Bible already.

Proverbs 18:15 says, “An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” It’s a privilege to be able to share compelling and relatable parenting lessons with new moms and dads. It’s also a privilege to help brand new believers discover the abundant treasure of truth for life found in the pages of the Bible.
