God’s Love Speaks to You (Unintended Pregnancy)
A single, Christian young woman met with our director. She had come to us for a pregnancy test, and her test was positive. She cried and cried as she told us about her life. Then, she said, “I am eager to hear everything that you have to share with me.” We spoke about the gospel and assured her of God’s love for her. Her spirits visibly lifted, and she has since recommitted her life to Jesus. Our director notes, “If they’re willing to listen, we should talk.” Because, my friends, Love Speaks.
God’s love for us compels us to share the gospel of Jesus with those we serve. We believe God’s love has something to say to someone facing an unintended pregnancy. Might that be you today? Are you currently pregnant, and were not expecting to be at this time in your life? Or, maybe you have a close friend or family member who’s currently being impacted by an unintended pregnancy. Dear friend, we believe the love of God speaks this to you:
God’s grace and His ability to intervene in your situation is boundless. His Love is so great that even if you are disappointed, He is not disappointed in you. He longs to walk beside you on this journey. God is never taken by surprise, so even if this pregnancy was unintended by you, He already knew it would take place and He is writing your story and your babies story.
Philippians 1:6 in the New Living Translations says, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
God’s words are truth. His words bring peace. His words bring life. We have all been Created for Him.
