His Faithfulness at Work

His Faithfulness at Work

Corrine came to see us for a pregnancy test and ultrasound. She had a 5-year-old son and was excited to be pregnant again, after having had an abortion several years ago.

When we asked Corrine about her spiritual beliefs, she said she used to go to church when she was a teenager, but her pastor at the time ended up leaving his wife for another woman. That soured her heart toward the Christian faith. Stories like those are painful. They’re also opportunities to remind ourselves and our clients that although human beings are prone to making bad decisions, God—according to His Word— is always right and He is always faithful.

Corrine went on to say, “Deep down in my heart, I still want my children to go to church and be raised in the Christian faith.” We gave her a Bible, a children’s story Bible, and a list of local churches to check out, and she was grateful. She went on to tell us about the horrible experience of her abortion, and she’s going to seek our abortion recovery services after her baby is born.

God is so faithful to Corrine. He’s drawing her back to Him and helping her find a local church community. He’s also preparing her to discover His true healing from the pain and trauma of her past abortion.

Listen to these precious words from 2 Timothy 2:13: “If we are faithless, He remains faithful—for He cannot deny Himself.” God remains faithful. His nature is so good and right and pure that He cannot be any other way. We see His faithfulness to Corrine and her children. We see His faithfulness to help young pregnant moms and heal women recovering from abortion.

No matter who we are or what we’ve done, God’s faithfulness gives us hope for better and brighter next steps in our lives.
