A Father’s Smile
A British actress once said, “A father’s smile has been known to light up a child’s entire day.” Personally, I know that to be true. And so does Align. We love following God’s call to teach young fathers how to parent their little children well, and we encourage them and pray for them each step of the way. God works through these services to impact young men like Justin.
Justin has taken our Parenting and Fatherhood courses, and he’s excited to continue to the next module which is Life Skills. Through each weekly class, Justin earns CARE cash which he can spend in our Baby Boutique on things like diapers and pajamas for his infant son. However, Justin typically donates most of his CARE cash to the clients who come in after him. He says, “Each week I look forward to what I can LEARN, even more than the “dollars” I can earn. These lessons are helping me be a better father to my children…not only today, but also as my children grow.”
As that earlier quote noted, I’m sure Justin’s smile as a dad will light up his son’s day many times in the years ahead. You know, the truth of that statement is rooted in the truth of God, our Heavenly Father, and what His radiant smile does for His children. Numbers 6:25-26 in the New Living Translation says, “May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.”
We pray that blessing for young dads like Justin, and we pray it for YOU. God loves You and wants you to know Him. May His gracious, glorious smile brighten your life and give you His peace.
