I Don’t Think I’m Done…

I Don’t Think I’m Done…

Today’s story is about Tim and Tasha – a young Christian couple who took our prenatal course. They came to the classes together each week. But, as Tasha’s due date approached, she was increasingly tired and uncomfortable. One day at the end of class she said, “That’s it! I’m too tired to do much of anything, including these classes. I’m done!” Tim turned to her and said, “What do you mean you’re done? I don’t think I’m done…” And so for the final few weeks of the class, Tim attended by himself.

We were so glad he did not quit.

In one of their final sessions, Tim told his male advocate that he & Tasha were hoping to find a bigger apartment. They got married and moved in together right after she found out she was pregnant, and now realized they were going to need more room than they thought. Tim and his advocate prayed together about it, and laid that request before the Lord. Wouldn’t you know, Tim and Tasha soon found a larger place to live – one that was even less expensive than their current apartment. When Tim told us God had answered their prayers, he added, “Who am I to doubt God?”

In 1 Corinthians 15:1, Paul says, “Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand.” That’s part of what we’re called to do, friends: remind one another of the gospel we received and stand upon. We get to encourage young parents in their parenting skills and in their faith!
