New Information on the 2020 Walk Run for Life

New Information on the 2020 Walk Run for Life

Through these difficult times we pray you’re experiencing the powerful presence of Jesus, the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17).

We wanted to share an update with you.

We’ve changed this year’s Walk Run for Life from an onsite event to a virtual one!

In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, we are actively serving young families with godly perspective and urgent baby supplies. Just the other day, as we were delivering formula to a client’s doorstep, she said, “I’m thankful for your quick response and friendly service. It’s really helping me during this rough time.”

The CDC is recommending the cancellation of events of 50 people or more through mid-May. We may not be able to gather physically in a large group on May 9, but we can still band together to champion the gospel and life while raising funds for this vital work.

Choose a healthy, safe, and fun activity to do between now and May 9 to celebrate the gospel and the sacredness of life. And then let us know that you did! Take a picture doing the activity and post it to your Facebook or Instagram account using hashtags #WalkRunforLife2020 and #AlignLifeMinistries, or email it to us at

You could take a walk, play dodgeball, take a family bike ride, throw frisbee, hike, or play hopscotch. The possibilities are endless!

The event season will culminate on Saturday May 9 at 9:30 a.m. with a 5-10-minute livestream video for the entire Align Life Ministries family to celebrate what the Lord has done and to praise Him together for His gift of life.

For those of you who want to run the 5K, you are welcome to run it offsite. Measure your distance and track your time, and we’ll take you at your word. Email your name, age, and final run time to by midnight on May 9. All runners must be pre-registered with a minimum donation of $35 to be eligible for a medal. We’ll award medals according to the structure stated on the back of our pledge form, and we’ll mail the 5K run swag to all registered runners, along with the medals to the winners.

The Walk Run for Life is a major source of funding for us each year. The fundraising and prize aspects of this event are mostly the same, with slight modifications to account for the virtual nature of the event. Please visit for details.

Please register for this event even though it’s virtual.

Registration closes on Friday May 8 at midnight.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1.  As believers, we have God’s presence to provide us with strength, and He’s giving us the opportunity to provide life-giving services to our clients in these troubling times.  Thank you so much for aligning with us to make Him known.

In the powerful, life-saving name of Jesus,

Lisa Hosler
